WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOPS
Linda Kemp  CSPWC  OSA  SCA  SAA (Hon.)

Discover an alternative approach to painting!

A Positive Approach to Negative Painting and

                                                          Landscapes in Layers
Painters searching for an alternative approach to watercolour will find these new programs exciting and stimulating. The workshops begin with simple projects that have been designed and proven to teach the student how to understand and develop their paintings using negative shapes and glazing. As the courses progress, the projects become more complex and focus on creating a variety of interpretive underpaintings and building layers with overlapping shapes. Linda will lead the class by interactive demonstrations, lectures, critiques and by individual attention in “hands on” situations. Other subjects include identifying and developing personal style, pigment organization, color and how to make piture planning easy.
Participants can expect an inspiring and creative atmosphere, with an instructor who truly cares about helping students achieve their personal artistic goals.

Workshop programs are scheduled from one to five days in length.
Participants of all levels are welcome, however a basic knowledge of watercolour is recommended.
